The making

Everything you notice in a cinema is a failure of detail.

A seam that catches the light from the screen. A motor you can hear under dialogue. An armrest half an inch too low, so the shoulder never quite settles and, ninety minutes in, you shift.

SEATLAB begins at the other end. We start with the last hour of a long film and work backwards through geometry, mechanism, foam and hide until there is nothing left to notice.

How a seat is made

Continuum installation
The master collection

Four chairs. One standard.

01Atelier Precision-engineered high-back seating, crafted to elevate the cinematic experience within the most discerning private residences. Atelier 02Continuum Low-profile modular seating for immersive spaces — a refined presence that keeps the room, and the sound field, uninterrupted. Continuum 03Monolith Volume, quietly handled. Deep seats and generous width — the comfort behind every great screening. Monolith 04Muse Masterfully tailored in signature Paul Smith textiles, where bold colour and exacting craftsmanship converge. 01 — Configuration

Any arrangement the room will take.

Straight, curved or separated; seats, armrests and consoles in standard and custom widths.

Plans + dimensions

02 — Materials

Specified from the hand, not the screen.

Leathers, textiles, timbers and metals shipped as physical samples before a single panel is cut.

The material library

03 — Bespoke

If it can be drawn, it can be built.

The chair begins as a drawing of your room — widths, sightlines and finishes to suit it exactly.
