Bespoke here does not mean a longer list of options. It means the chair begins as a drawing of your room: seat widths that suit the people who will use them, an armrest sized to the timber running along the wall, a console that hides the cables the architect would rather not see.

Oversized seats, unfamiliar mechanisms, upholstery supplied by the client, a chair shaped to the curve of a yacht hull — these are projects, not exceptions.
